Nigeria: President requested to implement report on police reforms

A former Inspector-General of Police, Alhaji Musiliu Smith, has called on President Umaru Yar‘Adua to implement the recommendations of the Presidential Committee on Police Reforms recently submitted to him.

The implementation, he said, would go a long way in correcting the failure of the police.

Smith made the call in a message he sent to the summit on partnership between the police and informal policing groups organised by the CLEEN Foundation and the Zone 2 Command of the Nigeria Police in Lagos on Wednesday. Continue
